Thornham is situated on the North Norfolk Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The famous RSPB Bird Reserve at Titchwell is just two miles to the east and Holme NWT one mile away to the west. It is an attractive, year round venue, popular with walkers, photographers, artists, bird watchers, golfers, cyclists and all who love the peace and tranquillity of this part of Norfolk.

Walks start from the Hall - great car parking facilities and take you straight out over the marshes to the sandy beaches, or inland, across rural fields full of wild flowers and wildlife.

Thornham is lucky to have three excellent pub/restaurants, The Lifeboat Inn, The Chequers and The Orange Tree as well as Thornham Deli and Drove Farm with its retail outlets and La Campagna restaurant. The village also has its own hairdressing salon, The Hair Factory.

Golfers can enjoy the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club at Brancaster or the Hunstanton Golf Club in Old Hunstanton. A wide range of leisure activities, including swimming pool, and shops, can be found in nearby Hunstanton
